Waxing

It is always helpful to exfoliate and take a mild anti-inflammatory medication (like ibuprofen) before a wax service. This will help to reduce skin redness and swelling – and will help to keep you calm if you get nervous easily. Also avoid caffeine and alcohol 24 hours before your waxing service. They are stimulants and they only increase your blood flow and make the experience more nerve-wracking.

Grab a Pain Killer: A lot of people ask ‘does waxing hurt?’ and, the short answer is yes, it does. To make the process of hair waxing more bearable, grab a mild pain killer, such as Advil or Ibuprofen about 30 minutes before your appointment

After Waxing Session
-
Wear loose fitting clothing for at least six to eight hours.
-
Keep the waxed area clean, and avoid heat and friction during the next 24 - 48 hours. No hot baths or showers we recommend cool to lukewarm only.

To prevent ingrown hairs: starting a few days after your appointment and then continuing a couple of times every week, exfoliate the areas you get waxed using a dry brush or exfoliating mitt. We recommend our Relax and Wax Get the bump outta here for post-hair removal. Which helps prevent ingrown hairs and can be purchased in the salon.

You may notice a small amount of re-growth after a week or so. It can take up to 4 treatments for your hair to get on a growth cycle that gives the best results.

You will need at least 3-4 weeks of growth of hair before it can be successfully removed by waxing; Please do not shave between your appointments. To maintain your smooth appearance, I recommend regular waxing every 4-6 weeks
